In the spirit of Doctor Who coming back today for series 9, I thought it would be a good idea to read a book on the theme of time travel - in some sort of form I guess! So, I decided out of the many books that I have provided for me, why not go back to an author whose writing just rocks?! Landline, is set in the Christmas period of 2013 and focuses on a married woman, who has a job of writing comedy for a living, with her best friend, Seth. But problems arise from her marriage with Neal and it becomes a holiday where she tries to understand where everything went wrong. This is where the "landline" comes into play, which is able to ring Neal up in the past and talk to his 17 year prior self, just before he proposed to her. I did enjoy this. I hope there will be a film adaptation in the near future.  As there was quite a few themes that I was able to sink my teeth into. Truly marvellous! The work of the week would have to be: kakorrhaphiophobia = meaning the fear of failure. I'm so excited to talk you about this piece of fiction. Literally it is just a masterpiece!     Genre: Contemporary, Romance Year Of Publish: 2013 (US), 2014 (UK) Publisher: St Martin's Press (US), Pan Macmillian (UK)    I have found that throughout the whole of this book, the main character Cath has a lot of characteristics that i can relate to. She's antisocial, a fangirl(a bit obvious), scared of the real world and prefers the imaginary world of literature compared to reality. The whole time i couldn't stop reading wanting to find out more(which is kind of bad when i have tons of essays to finish). What is a ll about? Well, the basis of the story is that Cath is going to university, but she prefers to write fanfics of Simon Snow and Baz. They are kind of an imaginary fandom, which i heard from somewhere that Rainbow Rowell is eventually going to write books about them. So that will be quite interesting. I have decided this time around, that I'm going to be doing the TBR a bit earlier. If you have already recognised, I didn't do one last time. I'm not going to lie I simply forgot. Not at all good. But now looking back, there was no point for one. There simply wasn't enough. I have been collecting books though. Some you might like, some you might not. But you never know if you find that beautiful hidden gem! Who knows that from this post, you might of found your favourite book of all time? The few books that I have got lined up for you are: The Iron Trial ; Fangirl ; Ballet Shoes and The Blood Of Olympus (which i still haven't began reading yet!). So i'm very excited. I have already started Fangirl which seems to be very good. It also seems to be that Cath, the main character has a personality which i can relate to- especially at this moment in time.
