New life, new books!

Hello my faithful and loyal readers. As you may or may not know, I have not been writing as often as I once did.

Times change, so do I.

However, it does not mean that you will lose me forever. Life has just got a funny way of changing direction in the weirdest of ways.

My life altered on the 18th August this year. I finally was able to do the thing that I was told I would never do when I was a child by some people. In a way, it felt like in a few moments I had made the impossible, possible.

Dreams can come a reality if you truly are determined and want it.

So now, I'm in a very unfamiliar room, with unfamiliar smells, longing for home in some way.

Yes, by now I would have thought that you have guessed what I am trying to say.

I got into university.

Now it's time to do the real work.

So if I haven't talked to you in a long time - never fear, you are certainly missed and thought about. I love this blog. It has got me through a lot of rough patches throughout it's short two year life.

If you think that I'm quitting, I'm certainly not. If I can and the time is right I will try and give you one of the best posts you've seen in a long time.

But for the time being, adios friend and see you very soon.

If you want to find out how I'm getting on, I will soon have a blog running about my day to day business of what uni life is truly like - in the eyes of a non-party goer!

Frostfire by Amanda Hocking

It is back to Amanda Hocking this week, with her new book that I have recently been talking about, when reviewing her other series, the Trylle Trilogy. Although, this book is now in a new series, but set in the same universe. It is called the Kanin Chronicles... I must admit, when actually owning the book, the cover is very enchanting and beautiful. How for instance, the main character and protagonist, Bryn Aven, is at the centre of attention, with her coat covered in red. Whereas in the background, it is very muted colours, with the whites and blacks, but also having a sort of wonderland type of presence. Red to me also makes me feel quite uncomfortable and moreover is a colour for danger. So, onto the criticisms then! First of all, I don't know why but I felt a little bit out of place with this new world. Maybe it is because I read the other series in the same universe, I may have gotten used to them far too much. So when there are old characters appearing and being ment

The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown

I know that this has been a review which has been a long time in the making. Especially when I received the books back in August last year. So I guess, that is quite a long time. But as some of you may already know, they all pack a punch as to how big they all are in pages! So, to put you all out of your misery, here is the long-awaited review for 'The Lost Symbol'. YAY! The main plotline is based around the organisation called the Freemasons, which throughout the years have had quite a bit of controversy. Not because they may have done something immoral, but rather that no one really knows what they actually do - except for Freemasons of course. People say that they are a secret organisation. But, that is completely and utterly incorrect. They are simply an organisation with secrets. Otherwise if they are a secret organisation, why do people know that Freemasonry actually exists, rather than a conspiracy? Anyway, onto the review I go!   The omniscient narrator had a m

What's not to be perfect?

Happy New Year! Like as I have said last week, we are going into something a bit more depressing. To start off this post I have decided that before I do go into specific details, I thought it would be a good idea to look at New Years resolutions. What is yours? I know for a fact what mine will be. It would have to be about how I always leave work until I have to do it. So this coming year my method for to stop making this habit would be to maybe make the habit of doing it earlier than what I once did. Just remember guys, never make a New Years resolution if you can't keep at it. Otherwise what is the point of actually making one? Anyway the book I am going to be focusing on this Tuesday, would be a book called The Perfectionists. It is about how five girls devise a plan against this boy called Nolan Hotchkiss and of course there will be a murder, betrayal and a bit of poison.   I have to be completely honest about how i felt about the whole plot, before going onto other re
